Built upon knowledge and a passion for concrete garages this SME was to boast the single largest resource for concrete buildings and garages. Very soon these WebPages www.4concretegarages.com were recognised by Google a..... Comments

Let’s face it, you wouldn’t relish an evening cooped up in a concrete building? But our faithful companion be it dog, cat or rabbit does require protection from harsh weather conditions so let’s make things as comfortable as possible.
Timber structures are ideal for our furry friend, but a dedicated house is expensive and takes up valuable garden space. Timber is naturally heat retentive (unlike concrete) but a few inexpensive measures can be taken to provide adequate levels of c..... Comments

That’s right, sometime early in 2009 we are on track to congratulate our one millionth garage customer. In 2005 we began a tally exclusively of our Lidget Concrete Garage sales. Needless to say, the feedback http://www.4concretegarages.com/concrete_garage_single.asp#17 we receive from these garage customers is tremendous and a testimony to the traditional Yorkshire principles of value for money and excellence in its product.

Historically the garden centre was the place to locate your garden building or concrete garage but soaring rents, reduced foot traffic and the desire of the garden centre to offer these products directly drove the independent reseller away. Land acquisition further saw the demise of the traditional garden centre in lieu of residential property development. Often the garden centre is passed over in lieu of the national chain DIY centres which are often less specialised but do offer modern day lif..... Comments

Coupled with the increasing popularity of the 4WD leisure vehicle comes a demand for increased size and height of replacement concrete sectional garages.
Typically a prefabricated building is 6ft6in (1.98m) to eaves which provides actual under-door clearances in the region of 6ft1in (1.8m). For example this height is equal to that of a Land Rover Discover and a Classic Range Rover and that’s before your consider the roof rack and aerial!

Whether you are a local authority procurement officer, a school, scout group, or if you run a small to medium sized enterprise there is often a building space solution available utilising concrete sectional technology.
The construction of these buildings is similar to concrete sectional garages since the same panels are utilised to create the lower exterior of the building; Plastisol coated box profile steel sheeting is then used to ‘build-up’ to the required height and also used t..... Comments

"Concrete Garages manufactured in Yorkshire | 'The Yorkies'" by nicpaice on September 30, 2008, 3:46 pm, in category General

Quick scans of Google for concrete garages with very quickly reveal that there exists only a handful of concrete garage manufacturers, a majority of which spring from Yorkshire.
Why is Yorkshire the home of concrete sectional garages? Well, the origins of at least two of the larger manufacturers of prefabricated buildings can be traced back to one original company. Other companies have simply taken advantage of the lower running costs attributed to land, labour and materials found in Y..... Comments

Handy tips and hints to convert your concrete sectional garage to an office or workshop
I am often asked by my customers as to how they go about either partitioning their concrete garage to create extra ‘living space’ or how they may internally line their building in order to heighten the insulation properties or lessen the potential for condensation.
When buying new, those more adaptable brands and manufacturers of concrete sectional buildings may offer you a..... Comments

"Removal of asbestos garages or corrugated asbestos roofing sheets" by nicpaice on September 30, 2008, 3:45 pm, in category General

There is a common misconception that only a licensed removal agency or local authority can remove your tired asbestos garage.
If you are contemplated replacement of your present prefabricated garage then it is very likely that this building contains asbestos cement or Chrysotile (‘white asbestos’). Asbestos cement normally contains from about 5% of white asbestos by weight.
Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral which was used within the concrete garage sector up unt..... Comments

Recently I came to question the validity of the guarantee statement provided by one of the G3 manufacturers of concrete sectional buildings and garages. A Customer Care Promise that is unique in the industry. A commitment which promises total satisfaction. A promise which has no exclusions and no small print.
Well, one imagines if something as a simple a leak was reported this manufacturer would without quibble rectify the fault? Don’t hold your breathe.
